About the Award:

The President's Award was established in 2008 by then-President Ram Tamang and the Award is given to the individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community. The President of the society during his/her term of office nominates the individuals who, in President’s judgment, are deserving of special recognition for their outstanding contribution to the community and the award is presented during the Damphu Saanjh cultural festival in New York.

The purpose of the Award is to recognize the valuable contributions the people are making in our community and encourage the others. It is also a way to thank and honor the exceptional talents who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in the community service.
